Humpday – Wicked Wednesday

So it is the middle of the week. Yippy!! Going to be a bit of a break this week for me as I have Thursday off, a few things I need to take care of that I just can’t get done on the weekend… Though I must admit that I have had my fair share of rants on the lack of public service available in ol’ G Town on the weekend or Saturday in particular.

Anyway the day was done and it was home time, I knew Anna was on her way out tonight to the Bull and Bell Steakhouse restaurant and that made for the hardest decision of the day, what to eat for dinner… I started off with the idea of a steak from my favourite butchers out at Hanwood, followed by a thought of frozen fish cocktails and sweet potato fries (smothered in garlic aioli). The sight of Anna’s latest batch of sourdough sitting on the bench, and slices of prosciutto (seriously though am I the only one that keeps a pack on hand?) in the fridge piqued my interest in a prosciutto / blue cheese / soughdough toastie with a parmesan crust. A dearth of blue cheese was my only problem, grab the keys and off to Woolies for a quick stock-up, (along with an obligatory Nudie pulp-free OJ and tub of ice cream).

This is how it turned out.. and that coffee well that is a single origin El Guayabo from Columbia, great coffee and great crema. I get this from Market Lane Coffee I have added a tiny weenie teaspoon (you know the ones that Nonna has in her cupboard for the espresso when the visitors are over), and the sugar I used is Dulce Sugar (from Costa Rica) which is from Market Lane again.

Remember to LOVE LIFE!!
