Hi, I’m Anthony, and welcome to Fork-Life.
My working life has been anything but ordinary.
I started out as a self-service clothes washing attendant, learning early that no job is too small if you take pride in what you do. From there, I moved into fitting and machining, where I developed an appreciation for precision, problem-solving, and the satisfaction of building and repairing things with my hands. Later, I found myself working in IT, becoming the workplace “IT guru”—the person everyone called when the computers decided not to cooperate.
Eventually, I climbed into a forklift, and that changed more than just my job—it changed my life. Working in warehousing and logistics gave me a front-row seat to the people who keep industries moving. During this chapter, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life, leaving the coast behind and relocating to Griffith in the NSW Riverina, where new opportunities and a new community awaited.
My career continued to evolve into export coordination, managing the movement of Australian products to international markets. Today, I’m a photographer, writer, and blogger, documenting the people, places, and stories that often go unnoticed but deserve to be remembered.
Fork-Life was born from those years in industry. It’s not just about forklifts—it’s about the people behind them. It’s about bottling lines, warehouses, factories, loading docks, break rooms, early starts, shift work, hard-earned laughs, and the mates you make along the way. It’s a place to celebrate the humour, challenges, and stories of working life that so many of us share.
No matter what your job has been—whether you’ve worked on a production line, driven a forklift, worked in fitting and machining, packed orders, fixed machinery, or managed logistics—I hope you’ll find something here that brings back a memory, makes you smile, or reminds you that every job has a story worth telling.
