It’s been a while!!

I have been exhausted, I suppose it is that time of the year we are more than two-thirds through the year and on the downward slope to Christmas. I think the early starts get to me, I try and start early to get cardboard ready and then the days can be more than the 3 pm finish.

A Week ago we had a trip to Melbourne. This is the first time I have been in Melbourne CBD for nearly 50 years. It was so long ago I can’t even remember any of it.

I can’t believe the number of speed cameras in Melbourne and in that fact, VictoriaI will no doubt have been booked.

Anyway, The pizza in Lygon Street was the best. It was simple of course, just salami, onion and capsicum.

Coffee is a big thing in Melbourne and food for that matter. On Sunday morning just a short 2-minute stroll from the motel was Industry Beans and a wonderful coffee shop with a simple menu of treats. More about this on my coffee blog soon.

A tram trip to Lygon Street from our Little Collins Street Motel was good till Anna got caught on it and had to go another stop. We picked up G, M and R from their hotel and it was a short Uber to the Queen Victoria Markets.

The markets were something out of this world for me. Firstly they are huge and the meat and fish pavillionn has everything that you need. A stop in the deli section was amazing. I bought cheese and salamis and had a great time testing and tasting bits and peices.

A quick trip back to the pickup G’s car and back to Little Collins and they were living with us for the night, but down a floor.

Afternoon tea was at Brunetti’s and amazing place to eat and have coffee. The sweets were amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed my Tiramisu.

After a breather and rest it was japanese for dinner. We went to Miyako and it was pretty posh to be honest. Anna, G and I went and had the tasting plates.. these were great Salads, Wagyu and other meats and seafood Shushmi and the rest.

Monday was art gallery day and we made it early to the NGV and were lined up when the doors opened. I thought that there was too much asian art. Not that I hate it, it just isn’t my thing. I did get to see some Warhol’s and a Picaso, so I was stoked.

That pretty much summed uop our Melbourne.

Remember to LOVE LIFE!!
