Yes, it has been a while since I have posted. This is just laziness, to be honest. I have watched a few movies and gained interest in the past, well when I say past the things that made me a useful working person, Information Technology. It is that field that as I age, and the pains start to filter through my body that I wish to return to.
Anyway let’s start with Christmas, we finished work a few days before Christmas and My son arrived the same day. It was great to see Shaun and Ms N. It was their first Christmas here and they seemed to enjoy it. They stayed until the Wednesday after Christmas.
On the Saturday before Christmas, we went and saw Matt Hilton’s Rapture Coffee Roastery and purchased new coffee beans and also a Toddy Cold Brew Kit, You can get these from Matt.
Well wasn’t I surprised about the cold brew? It is delicious I have made cold brew before in a French press, but this is next-level, smooth and flavoursome. You can read my write-up here.
Why IT, I worked in IT for 25 years until circumstances changed my life. I am not going into detail, but I worked for a boss who was domineering and wanted my whole life to be hers. I was on call 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. My holidays were owned by her. I never felt that I was free.
I am now looking for a job back in IT and hope to find something soon. I have started to do a bit with the computers I have at home. I have pulled out an old rack web server and converted an old PC to a Fedora Server. I tricked around with Mail and also DNS but haven’t satisfied myself with my skills in that area yet.
We are back at work again and I have been busy on the fork. It has been hot and muggy (unusual for Griffith) and I have been unable to find relief in the location I work from in the shed.
This year I am going to make the effort to write more often here on my blogs. So for now it is a big see you soon.
