I don’t think that interest rates or cost of living is Australia’s greatest problem at the moment. I think it the minorities move to the far right. We don’t just see it here, but worldwide.
It is the anti-Semitic and Islamophobic behaviours of the population. I don’t particularly understand why it has come to this. Is it for the above reason, do people blame those from the middle east for our current woes in this country? Or, has the war between Israel and Hamas come to our shores.
I don’t agree with either side , being what Hamas did in September 2023 in attacking innocent people and the retaliation of Israel hence after are not proportionate to a peaceful outcome in the ongoing saga between these people.
It is great that there is some sort of fragile truce, and I hope it lasts. Either way it won’t be the solution to that conflict. What we need is a true two state solution. How we get there, I have no idea. Years and years of diplomatic effort have not seen a resolution.
But, here is Australia there is no place for the racism and hate that seems to fill our street and the violence that seems to be festering in our country is unacceptable to our layered society.
I thought we were a nation that was built on tolerance, but it seems that this has gone by the wayside. Everyone has a role to play in building a society that is free and safe for everyone. If we break it down a bit economical, we all consume, and consumption is what grows the economy. So, as such we all have a the opportunity to grow Australia for the good of our children.
I don’t care what colour your skin is, our what your religion is – if you treat me like an equal, I will accept you, Damn it I aqm going to accept you anway, and I will teach you about Australia and hopefully you will see that we are not all bad.
